With Labor Day weekend gone and a hint of chill in the air, we’re ready for all things fall - including our caramel apple pie. We’re sharing an easy, at home version of the recipe with you, so head out to the orchard, pick some apples, and get baking!

The Cookery’s Caramel Apple Pie

Pie:

1 cup Sugar

1/4 cup Flour

1 tsp Cinnamon

5 cups Peeled and sliced apples

1/2 cup Caramel Sauce (store-bought is fine!)

2 Tbs Half and Half

1 Pie crust

Topping:

1 cup Flour

1/2 cup Brown Sugar

1/2 cup Butter, melted

Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees.

In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and apples. Pour filling into unbaked pie shell. Set aside.

In a small saucepan, combine caramel sauce and half and half. Bring to a light simmer. Drizzle 3/4 of sauce over apples. Set the remainder aside.

In a medium mixing bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Crumble over top of pie.

Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes, or until apples are tender. Drizzle remaining caramel sauce over pie. Cool completely before serving.
