The holidays are a time for family, friends, and, of course, food! Just like every family, we have our own annual holiday recipes. One of our favorite recipes is bacon wrapped dates. These little bites of heaven are the perfect pre-feast appetizer. Sweet and salty, what's not to love?!

Bacon Wrapped Dates

16 oz package of bacon (preferably Neuske’s)
8 oz package dates (we get ours from Sphinx Date Co. in Phoenix, AZ)
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup dijon mustard
dash Worcestershire

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Position oven rack in the center of the oven. Cover a cookie sheet with tin foil. Pit dates if necessary. Wrap one piece of bacon around each date. Make sure the bacon seam is placed facing downward on the cookie sheet. Place a toothpick though the date to secure the bacon. Repeat until all the dates are wrapped in bacon.

In a small bowl, mix the honey, mustard, and Worcestershire until combined. Baste each date with the honey mustard sauce. Bake for 20-25 minutes until crisp. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving. Serve with extra sauce for dipping.
