We are excited to announce that our wine bar was named Best of Door County in the current Door County magazine!

If you are in need of some Cookery jam or apple sauce, all of our products are available on our market page. You can also call to place an order for our products or a gift card.

We will reopen in late April, check back for details.

On Saturday, November 5, Julian Hagen will be joined by Hans Christian from 7 to 9 p.m.

There is no cover charge for either event.

The chalkboard behind the bar lists the specials which include:
Sunday – $5 off a bottle of wine
Monday – buy one get one half off appetizers
Tuesday – two beef sliders for $5
Wednesday – $1 off flatbreads
Thursday – a pint of craft beer and a cheeseburger for $10
Friday – fish fry

The wine bar opens at 3 p.m. and the specials are available 3 p.m. until close. The wine bar’s full menu of appetizers, small plates and some big plates is also available.

Our caramel apple pie is made with local apple and is on our dessert menu daily through apple season. Whole pies are also available for take out from the lobby.

Waseda Farms, formerly known as the Collins farm, O’Brien farm, and the St. Joseph’s farm, was owned by the Priests of the Sacred Heart for forty-seven years. It was part of the Saint Joseph’s Retreat, located on Kangaroo Lake. They have built a state-of-the-art cattle handling system designed and developed by Temple Grandin and Mark Deesing. This system is the most humane cattle management system ever developed. Waseda Farms also practices environmental sustainability, supports other local farms, and encourages all its friends and neighbors to eat healthier foods.

This singer/songwriter writes what could be considered “dark pop” songs: catchy melodies in minor keys, lyrics that masterfully infuse sad stories with tiny flecks of humor and hope.

The Nicks

A guitar and mandolin duo performing an eclectic mix of music.

Katie Dahl with Rich Higdon
October 14, 8 p.m.
Intricate lyrics and catchy melodies combine in music from this Door County folksinger. Featuring Rich Higdon on bass and occasionally the spoons.

Rändi Fay
October 21, 8 p.m.
Soft jazz, folk and blues. With Jim Bayard on guitar.

Highland Road
October 28, 8 p.m.
Local favorites will play a mix of bluegrass, a bit of country and folk music.

Katie Dahl will be playing Wednesday evenings starting August 3 with the exception of August 17 when Jess Holland will be playing.

Jess Holland will be performing her spirited folk songs on Saturdays starting August 6, except for August 13 when Jeanne Kuhns and Lost Mothra will play.

All music performances will begin at 8:30 p.m. in the wine bar. There is no cover charge.

The Cookery’s wine bar is open until midnight through the month of August serving small plates, appetizers, and desserts.
